What is collagen? 

Collagen is the major structural component of skin, and about 80% of its dry weight. Skin properties are affected by endogenous and environmental factors including aging, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, hormones, and nutrition. 

There are several different types of collagen. The three main types are:
