Description
What are bilberries?
Originally from Scandinavia and closely related to the blueberry and cranberry, bilberries are naturally rich in flavonoids and potent plant compounds known as anthocyanidins. The berries can be eaten fresh or dried and are often steeped in boiling water to make tea. Legend has it that British Royal Air Force pilots used to eat bilberry jam for their supper!
Why choose Healthspan's Bilberry?
We source our berries from the Vaccinium myrtillus L. plant to obtain a powerful extract, equivalent to 5000 mg of whole bilberries. Even better, we then add vitamin B2 to create a Bilberry tablet rich in potent plant compounds and essential nutrients for your eyes and wellbeing.*
*Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and protects your cells from oxidative stress.
Complementary products
Our experts believe that anyone taking Bilberry supplements should also consider Retinex® which contains the premium compounds lutein and zeaxanthin.
